Nikolaj Lesyk (1962), Akad. maliar

Nikolaj Lesyk was born June, 9, 1962 in the Ukrainian city Ľvov. The fine-art basics he got during his young age in the regional center for talented young artist. He studed and graduated in painting and architecture at the Fine-art University in the city of Ľvov. Next 10 years he worked for the Ukrainian Artist Union in the city Ivano-Frankovsk. Concurrently he worked as a freelance artist. In the years 1984-1990 he regularly attended the regional art exhibitions. In favor of his interest in getting higher degree of art self-realization and knowledge in painting and grafics, he spent longer time in the Western Europe countries.
As the academic painter he worked in 1988 in Amsterdam and Harlingen (Holland), in 1999 in Rome, Venecia and Naples (Italy) and in the years 2000-2001 in Paris (France). Slovakia and Czech Republik he visited for the first time in 1994. He worked in the cities Prague, Brno (Czechia), Bratislava and Piešťany (Slovakia). The Slovak city Košice is nowadays his place of work.

Nikolaj Lesyk patrí do skupiny ambicióznych výtvarných umelcov Ukrajiny hľadajúcich možnosti pôsobenia doma i v zahraničí. Je výborný grafik-portrétista. Ovláda rôzne techniky maliarskeho stvárňovania volenej témy alebo vybraného objektu. Venuje sa maľovaniu portrétov, architektúry, zátiší a plenérnej tvorbe. Pri maľovaní v teréne zachováva dimenzie reality, skutkového stavu, primeranú farebnosť, proporcionalitu medzi svetlom a tieňom s aplikáciou prvkov impresie, čím vytvára celok s výraznou výpovednou pôsobnosťou. V tvorbe je veľmi pracovitý a otvorený pre nové podnety v odbore výtvarného umenia.
